Introducing the newest addition to the Medilaw NSW team, Chantelle Parrott.
We sat down with her to find out more about her.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Earlier this month I moved up to Sydney from Geelong, Victoria – my first time living in NSW (or anywhere that isn’t Geelong). The past four years of my career have been in the compensation space, working at both Victorian state government social insurers, the Transport Accident Commission and WorkSafe Victoria. My roles have included claims management, policy writing and project management roles. Most recently, I led the Independent Medical Examiner Program for WorkSafe Victoria. I have missed working in roles which provide the opportunity to engage with stakeholders and building and maintaining relationships virtually and face-to-face. That’s why I am most excited about in my new position with Medliaw.
- What motivates you or drives your passion for the medico-legal industry?
The medico-legal industry plays such a critical role in supporting every element of diversity present in our communities and in supporting people getting back to work and life. Seeing firsthand how medico-legal companies support clients’ needs and the care provided to individuals throughout the examination, motivated me to be part of this process.
- How do you like to spend your time when you’re not at work?
This is where I welcome any recommendations. I love all things food, wine, walks and beaches. While I’ve visited Sydney many times over the years, I am still very much a tourist!
I encourage anyone to reach out to me by any means preferable and I look forward to assisting you as your Medilaw NSW/ACT contact. I also welcome any Sydney ‘must dos’ and ‘must sees’.
