Dr. Rikard-Bell is an experienced psychiatrist with expertise in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry. With over 25 years of experience, he has treated and assessed various mental health conditions, including psychoses, schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety, depression, personality disorder, organic brain syndromes, old age psychiatry, indigenous mental health, and drug and alcohol-related disorders. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, he specializes in emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development, attachment disorders, autistic disorders, youth depression, gender dysphoria disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others. Dr. Rikard-Bell has extensive experience in providing expert reports for forensic and civil purposes, including cases related to domestic violence, child sexual assault, and child abuse. Currently, he holds academic positions at James Cook University and the University of Notre Dame, while maintaining a private practice in Bondi Junction.
