Summary
Dr David Hayes gained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1989. Following this he became a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 1992 and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 1998.
Dr Hayes is currently an Orthopaedic Surgeon in private practice in Brisbane. He is also Director for Brisbane Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre and Queensland Orthopaedic Sports medicine. Dr Hayes has previously held the positions of Visiting Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon for Mater Public Adults Hospital and Staff consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Arthroplasty & Lower Limb Unit at Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Dr Hayes is accredited with GEPI, WorkCover Queensland, AMA5 and WorkSafe Victoria. His professional interests are lower limb, knee and hip surgery, arthroplasty, sports injuries and soft tissue and bony reconstruction. His assessment specialties include hip and knee conditions.
