Summary
Dr Graeme Gonzales has undertaken a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, graduating in 1998. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a Neurologist in 2007, and is also an Honorary Fellow in lectureship at University of Melbourne, St Vincent’ss Clinical School. Dr Gonzales has commenced research toward the degree of Doctor of Medical Science at the University of Melbourne, in epilepsy related pharmacology.
Dr Gonzales consults as Staff Neurologist at Centre for Clinical Neurosciences & Neurological Research, at St Vincent’ss Hospital. This role includes supervision and co-ordination of acute stroke services. Dr Gonzales practices in his private rooms with a specialisation in epilepsy, headache, stroke and neuroimmunology. He also has involvement with epilepsy testing services at Bendigo Hospital and Knox Private Hospital.
Dr Gonzales is very active in teaching and mentoring neurology trainees. In addition to this, he is a member of several professional societies, including the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, and Epilepsy Society of Australia. Previously, Dr Gonzales has held appointments as Epilepsy Fellow at St Vincent’ss Hospital’ss Department of Neurology, and as Clinical Supervisor at University of Melbourne’ss Department of Medicine.
Dr Gonzales is able to assess all general Neurological conditions, with a particular specialty in Epilepsy, stroke, and head injuries.
