Summary
Dr Pala Valappil is a psychiatrist who began his medical training in 1992 in India where he studied at Medical Colleges affiliate to The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, remaining there to then complete his diploma in Psychological Medicine in 2002. Following this Dr Pala Valappil then moved to the UK and received membership from the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2006.
Dr Pala Valappil worked for the NHS Foundation trust in both Leeds and Sheffield in the UK before moving to Australia in 2008 and obtained his fellowship through the College of Australian and New Zealand Psychiatrists in 2011.
Dr Pala Valappil is currently working for the Redcliffe Community Health Team in Queensland and has previously held positions in the Caboolture Hospital and the Rockhampton Hospital. He is actively involved in Registrar & GP Education and has published papers in medical journals. He has been conducting Independent Medical Examinations since 2014. His assessment specialities include anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, Substance Abuse and Post traumatic stress disorder.
