Summary
Dr Prudence Fitzpatrick gained her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1986. She then undertook her orthopaedic training in Queensland, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Following this, Dr Fitzpatrick completed a 15 month Fellowship in Oxford, England, in hip and knee arthroplasty and became a Fellow of the Australia Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Fitzpatrick is currently a Senior Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon and a training supervisor in orthopaedic surgery at QEII Hospital in Brisbane. Previously she has held the position of Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at QEII Hospital.
She holds a number of memberships with a variety of organisations including the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society, United Kingdom.
Dr Fitzpatrick is a Certified Medical Examiner (CIME – ABIME) and holds GEPI, AMA5, WorkCover QLD IME and Comcare accreditations. She has a particular interest in knee and hip surgery, arthroplasty and sports injuries. Her assessment specialties include hip and knee joint injuries, and general orthopaedic injuries.
